The Piezo-Electric Shock Wave

The shock wave energy for highly effective and painless treatment is generated using several thousand piezo elements. These are arranged as a mosaic and aligned exactly with the therapy focus.

The well-defined focal zone means optimum protection of the tissue in the immediate vicinity. The energy density is so low that neither surface nor deeper pain occurs. 20 finely calibrated energy levels ensure maximum therapeutic success while minimizing the effects on surrounding tissue.

The two-layer shock wave source consists of two piezo-ceramic layers arranged one above the other. The two ceramic layers are excited separately by a high-voltage pulse generator. The cumulative energy of the two layers is applied at the focus and guarantees the best possible therapeutic success.
Power thyristors allow precise triggering, two separate high-voltage circuits allow variable delay settings and pulse shaping options.

Another important feature of the piezo shock wave is that no extrasystoles are induced. Complicated ECG triggering and ECG monitoring are not necessary.
