In many cases, small holes are drilled to insert rigid borescopes (lightweight, mobile, robust, high image quality, low price). For documentation purposes, retrofitting with documentation systems or suitable digital cameras is possible at any time.

Flexible endoscopes (usually less expensive) are recommended for the inspection of piping, or videoscopes to meet more demanding needs.
